MHKA events wouldn't happen without the aid of our dedicated, energetic volunteers. Whether setting up equipment for agility, providing information to attendees, helping out the judges, or any number of essential duties, MHKA volunteers are the best! If you'd like to know how you can help at a specific event, contact the show chairperson and let her/him know. The best way to enjoy the show is to be part of it! (And we'll feed you, too.)
Volunteers
Central to MHKA's mission is education that promotes the well-being of canines. We applaud our junior members and all young people who share our goal of making the world a better place for dogs and dog owners.
MHKA Scholarships
In 2012, the Mid-Hudson Kennel Association will award two scholarships of $500 each to two college-bound high school students in Dutchess County who plan to enter a profession working with and helping dogs.
Last year's winners were Lindsey Drew, Nicole A. Preti and Samantha Rapali.
If you are interested in applying for next year's scholarship, please contact Public Education officer Penny Slingerland.
